Hear fairy tales in the Tajik tea room

You can experience fairytale tea hours near the Monbijoupark. From 6 p.m. on Mondays, cheerful to creepy Russian fairy tales are served for tea there. The traditional green tea is prepared strictly according to regulations and individually according to the guest, which of course takes a while. So here, too, the following applies: slow down, hang stress on the coat hook and just warm up until the delicious tea comes. Then you can go for a walk in Monbijoupark.

11 Really Good Restaurants In Charlottenburg That Always Go

Have breakfast and drink coffee at Annelies in Kreuzberg

We still cry after the fluffy pancakes in the Coffee district in Mitte, but the rest of the breakfast is also damn tasty. But now there is again reason to be happy: The sister café Annelies has opened directly at Görlitzer Park. Here you can have breakfast, lunch, coffee and wine for an aperitivo in the evening sun. The menu includes fluffy pancakes, fried chicken sandwiches, granola with beetroot and blueberries, and hearty options – all regional and seasonal.

Japanese-European fusion cuisine in the House of Small Wonder

The House of Small Wonder is, as the name suggests, a small wonder world directly from busy Friedrichstrasse. Everything here inspires: the Japanese-European fusion cuisine, the green coffees, the design, the staff. Just order everything from the breakfast menu and come back in the evening for Japanese comfort food.

Truffle pasta, pizza and dolce vita in the Ribaltone

The Ribaltone on Viktoria-Luise-Platz in Schöneberg is both a  hotspot and an insider tip. Without a reservation, nothing works in the cozy and crowded Osteria, but many Berliners and tourists do not know the Italian restaurant. Northern Italian dishes, pizza and antipasti are served. We recommend the specials from the day pass, which change depending on the season and season. The spaghetti with truffle from the parmesan loaf and the calamari on lukewarm lentil salad are particularly good.

Eat spelled crumble cake in the 1900 Café Bistro

The 1900 Café  has long been one of our Charlottenburg favorites. In addition to the down-to-earth home cooking and the rustic atmosphere, we prefer to come here for the delicious cakes. The spelled crumble cakes are simply heavenly and just the thing at any time of the day or year. The pieces are almost too big for the plate, the crumbles are nice and thick and anything but dry and if you like, you can also get a decent portion of homemade whipped cream with the cake.

Eating ramen at Cocolo Ramen X-Berg

Of course, the small Kuchi empire in Berlin is no longer an insider tip, but that doesn’t change the fact that the ramen in Cocolo are simply amazingly delicious. In summer 2019 the restaurant moved from Paul-Lincke-Ufer to Graefestrasse. There is more space in the new location, otherwise everything has stayed the same. The food is served in beautiful clay bowls, as is well known, the eyes eat with them. If Kreuzberg is too far for you, you can also munch on Cocolo Ramen at Gipsstraße 3 in Mitte .

Fulfill your chocolate dreams at Winterfeldt Schokoladen

Where medicines and pain relievers were once stored and sold, the finest chocolates are now sold. The fact that cocoa and chocolate cheer up the mind is nothing new and here, too, in the listed pharmacy from the early days, our happiness hormones go crazy while snacking. We warm up with hot chocolate, coffee, cake and cocoa-laden delicacies and recharge our batteries for a stroll through the neighborhood or a stroll through the market.

Pizza and Bavarian specialties eat in the café on the new lake

The café on the new lake has long ceased to be an insider tip – but it is still a good one. Take a tour of the zoo and then sit down in the beer garden. Regardless of whether it is for a lunchtime beer or in the evening hours: Here you will definitely feel a sense of anticipation for summer tingling your back. Share one of the large and crispy stone oven pizzas with friends or order meat loaf with pretzels. Also great: You can rent a rowboat here. Romantic!

Pancakes, chicken waffles and Bloody Marys with spirit in the glass

Das Geist im Glas is actually a cozy bar where you can get excellent drinks and, in winter, mulled wine. At the weekend, the bar opens its doors from lunchtime, then there’s brunch! We’re totally crazy about the food-porn-obsessed buttermilk pancakes with bananas, dulce de leche cream and bourbon maple syrup. Also on the menu: Chicken Waffles, Huevos Rancheros and other messes. If you come with a hangover, you can “retox” with Asian-influenced Bloody Marys or vodka with a light coffee flavor. That’s how it is done!

Cozy shared flat atmosphere in the Mano Café

In Mano café in Kreuzberg is all made of wood – walls and counter paneled raw and wooden benches complement the furniture that seems to greet one of a 90s-WG municipalities. Velvet curtains and branches with oriental lanterns do their part to create a cozy atmosphere here. It’s a wonderful place to hide in familiar corners to sip hot chocolate and read a book in peace, and the evenings can be long here thanks to the large selection of beers, wines and long drinks.

First dates in the cozy living room atmosphere in the attic

The attic is cozy, relaxed and has a lot of living room atmosphere: the small bar extends over two floors and is furnished upstairs like an apartment with several rooms. According to an internal source, this makes it great for first dates. In addition to delicious homemade lemonade (blueberry sage!), The drinks are of course first class – unfortunately you only have to go back to your own apartment to sleep.
